Three words sum up this book- practical, practical, practical. For those already set on a residency to individuals unsure of which path the future will take upon graduation, this book is a must-read. It provides insight into the benefits of residency that one may not have considered, in addition to addressing anything one may have heard about residency, in a robust yet practical manner. Among the topics covered, the book outlines the skills necessary for successful program completion, the pros and cons of choosing an accredited vs. non-accredited residency, the "mysterious" Match process, as well as the important steps to complete post-match, and then proceeds to walk the reader through exactly what to expect from each type of residency program in a detailed, insightful narrative.
