I was delighted to hear that Kenya, the same instructor that taught the majority of Feuer’s other Nursing Review CD product,also taught the Pharm review. She’s funny and makes a topic that can be pretty boring actually interesting. I’ll forever hear her voice in my head with her one-liners to help you remember side effects of medications. A great overall review of pharm, which I think I can safely say the majority of us have the most trouble with. Like I said in my review of Feuer’s other review CD product, I was concerned that this wouldn’t go into the depth I needed to take NCLEX-RN since it is geared for both RN’s and LPN’s, but it absolutely did. Highly recommend, you can’t go wrong studying this way!
What makes this set of CDs of Pharm Review outstanding is the Nurse Practitioner, Kenya Beard, who has a natural born talent to make the most mundane topics come to life. She really holds your interest, and explains things in a way that will make it easy to remember. She also has a very pretty way of speaking, with a lot of expression and inflection and that keeps you interested in what she is saying. The topics she covers are also good. This CD Pharm set not only teaches you things to know for the NCLEX, but also, it will just help you be a better and wiser nurse and learn to think ahead and not make some of the mistakes that new nurses might make, because Kenya tells a lot of stories about med errors and ways to avoid them.
I highly recommend these CDs and the booklet that comes with them. THey are worth the money and the quality is outstanding. Thank you to Kenya Beard and also to Feuer.
The new one isn’t taught by kenya which is really disappointing because the lady teaching is very bland and hard to listen too, if I had known that I wouldn’t of purchased this
